FAQ
Q1: What is Power Lifting Mode?
A: In this mode, AC180 can run high-power heating devices up to 2,700W, such as space heaters, hair dryers, electric blankets, etc.
Do NOT use this unit to run an air conditioner or washing machine.
Q2: Can it charge and discharge at the same time?
A: Yes.
Q3: How do I know whether my appliance can work well with the AC180?
A: Calculate the total wattage of your devices. AC180 should work if the load doesn't exceed its rated 1,800W.
Q4: How long can it run my device?
A: The AC180 has different running times depending on the device you're using it with.
The running time = Battery capacity × DoD × η ÷ (load power + self-consumption of AC180). DoD refers to Depth of Discharge and η is local inverter efficiency.
For AC180, DoD is 90%, η is 85%, and self-consumption is about 15W. E.g. If you run a 100W blender with it, the running time will be: 1152Wh × 90% × 85% ÷ (100W+15W) ≈ 7.66 hrs
Note: 1) The formula is NOT suitable for inductive loads with compressors, like refrigerators, air conditioners, etc. 2) The above data is for reference ONLY.
Q5: How quickly can I charge the AC180?
A:The AC180 supports up to 1,440W input. Plug it into a wall outlet and turn on the Turbo Charging mode on the BLUETTI App, and you can fill it up in only 1.3-1.8 hours.
Q6: What's the difference between Silent, Standard, and Turbo Charging modes?
A:These are the 3 AC charging modes of AC180, each with a different input power and charging speed.
It generates only 45dB of sound in the silent charging mode.
Charging Mode Input Power Charging Time (Estimated)
Silent 260W 4.9 hours (4.9-5.4 hrs)
Standard Around 1,000W 1.7 hours (1.7-2.2 hrs)
Turbo Around 1,440W 1.3 hours (1.3-1.8 hrs)
Q7: Does AC180 support BLUETTI App control?
A:Yes, via Bluetooth.
Q8: What kind of solar panel should I choose for AC180?
A:Please refer to the following requirements:
1. Total open circuit voltage: 12-60V
2. Max. input power: 500W
3. Equipped with MC4 connectors.
Highly Recommended:
1× BLUETTI PV420: ≈ 2.7 hrs*. (3.2-3.7 hrs)
1× BLUETTI PV350: ≈ 3.3 hrs*. (3.8-4.3 hrs)
2× BLUETTI PV200: ≈ 2.9 hrs*. (3.4-3.9 hrs)
* For reference ONLY.
Q9: Is the AC180 waterproof?
A:No
Q10: Can I use or charge AC180 in sub-zero temperatures?
A:You can use the AC180 to power your devices in cold weather, but please avoid recharging it below freezing.
The operating temperature ranges for AC180 are:
Charging: 0℃-40℃/32℉-104℉
Discharging: -20℃-40℃/-4℉-104℉
Q11: Can it be laid on its side to save space?
A:No, this may damage the internal structure. Please keep it in an upright position either during storage or moving.
Q12: Is it possible to replace the built-in battery?
A:No. If the internal battery pack malfunctions or is dead, please contact BLUETTI Customer Service.
Q13: Can I expand its capacity by connecting it to B80/B230/B300/B300S batteries?
A:Currently, the AC180 doesn't support capacity expansion with B80, B230, or B300 batteries, but it can be charged by these batteries through Power Bank Mode. To connect the B80 battery, you'll need the Aviation to DC7909 cable*, while the P090D cable is required for B230/B300 batteries.
Q14: Why does a warning come up when using a diesel heating pump with the cigarette lighter port?
A: The pump may require more initial power to start. Use a compatible adapter to start and run the pump with our AC outlets.
